U-Chord
Ukulele Chord Book
A major update is on the way
The U-Chord you already have will evolve in place. There is no new app to buy — just update, and your existing data and settings carry over.
A ukulele chord book designed for beginners
This chord book was developed to make ukulele playing and singing more accessible for beginners.
With simple controls you can quickly search for chords and practice while listening to the sound.
An Android version was available in the past, but currently only the iOS version is provided. A web version is also being considered, although there is no specific schedule yet.
If you find any issues, please send a screenshot using the in-app contact feature.

What’s new compared with the previous version
Main features coming in the major update to the U-Chord you already have.
- Switch between High-G and Low-G tuning
- Capo positions 1–9 are now supported
- New tuning presets including baritone ukulele (BU-Chord), cuatro (VC-Chord) and D tuning
- Choose a display level: beginner, standard, advanced or everything
- “Simple” and “Full” in settings switch the degree panel, the mode buttons and the full-neck view all at once
- Memos from the previous U-Chord carry over after the update
- Added higher notes, so a wider range now plays
- Notes with no sound available are flagged with a red marker and haptic feedback
- Tap the large fretboard to select and play the shape closest to that note
- Paste a chord chart with lyrics just as it is; the lyrics are skipped and only the chords are recognised
- Import has its own screen so you can check the result before saving, and the text you pasted stays with the page so you can reopen it later
- Save your memos to the A-Note notes app and restore them whenever you need
- The “?” button on each screen explains what the buttons there do
- The interface is now available in 14 languages, up from Japanese and English only
- If you already purchased the paid features in the previous series, Pro stays unlocked
