A major update is on the way
The P-Chord you already have will evolve in place. There is no new app to buy — just update, and your existing data and settings carry over.
A piano chord book designed for beginners
Even if you cannot read sheet music, you can start playing songs by learning chords. This app was created with that simple idea in mind.
The app focuses on voicings that can be played with one hand, making it easy to accompany singing or practice chord progressions.
Saved chord progressions can also be transposed to different keys, which many users find helpful when practicing or composing.
An Android version was available in the past, but currently only the iOS version is provided. A future web version is being considered, although there is no specific schedule yet.

What’s new compared with the previous version
Main features coming in the major update to the P-Chord you already have.
- All 88 keys (A0–C8) now produce sound, up from 48 notes in the previous version
- Choose a 41, 61 or 88 key layout for the large keyboard
- Slash chords now appear on the large keyboard and play with the bass note included
- Tap the large keyboard to select and play the voicing closest to that note
- The voicing list highlights the row you selected with a blue frame
- Choose from three levels of chord type coverage, up from two
- Paste a chord chart with lyrics just as it is; the lyrics are skipped and only the chords are recognised
- Import has its own screen so you can check the result before saving, and the text you pasted stays with the page so you can reopen it later
- Save your memos to the A-Note notes app and restore them whenever you need
- A new “Try the features” menu lets you sample the main features for free
- The “?” button on each screen explains what the buttons there do
- The interface is now available in 14 languages, up from 5
- Songwriting memo (recording): hum a melody while tapping chords, and export song and chords together as a single audio file (Pro)
- Hand a memo to someone as a link; one tap imports the page into their app just as it is (Pro)
- The export screen is split into “Save for yourself” and “Give to others”, so you can choose what to attach depending on whether they have the app
- The position list can overlay the shape of the right hand on the keyboard (for chords of six notes or more, notes you may leave out are shown in light blue)
- “Play selected notes” sounds the notes you chose in reverse lookup on the spot
- If you already purchased the paid features in the previous series, Pro stays unlocked
