A-Note

Note App (Next Generation)

The successor to A-NoteJ

A-Note is the successor to our long-running note app A-NoteJ, rebuilt from the ground up.
Organize your notes into groups, with handy tools for everyday note-taking such as photos, location and search.

What A-Note offers

  • Organize notes into groups, and customize each group's color, opacity and font size
  • Attach multiple photos to a single note, with full-screen view and pinch to zoom
  • Record a location and view it on a map, or open it in Apple Maps
  • Keyword search with filters (photos, location, links, phone numbers)
  • Add a badge to important notes for quick access
  • Share the text, images and map link together
  • Available in 14 languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, German and more)

Migrating your data from A-NoteJ

A-Note is compatible with A-NoteJ backups.
Save a backup file in A-NoteJ, then load it with “Restore from backup file” in A-Note to carry over your notes, groups and images.

Please be sure to set up backups before using the app.

Works with A-CalcG — no limit on your numbers

Plenty of apps let you save calculation results, but most of them cap how much you can keep. A-Note was built to remove that ceiling.

The list-style calculator A-CalcG lets you work with up to 31 lists on a single screen, and it can export that entire state as a backup.
A-Note stores each of those backups as a note. Organize them by month — “January 2026,” “February 2026,” … — and stack up as many as you like.

A-CalcG List calculator (31 lists × unlimited) with A-Note A-Note Shared vault Save as backup stack up as many as you like Restore in one tap swap or roll back anytime
A-CalcG and A-Note move data in and out of each other.

31 lists × a monthly snapshot × unlimited storage
— the calculation history you can keep becomes, effectively, infinite.

And this storage works both ways. Any backup you put into A-Note can be restored to A-CalcG with a single tap. Load this month’s setup, swap it for next month’s, or jump back to the same month last year — because you can move data in and out freely, A-CalcG’s 31 lists effectively gain unlimited, swappable slots. Being able to go back and forth as often as you like is where the real convenience lies.

For this integration, rather than modifying our existing app, we designed an all-new A-Note from the ground up.

And this is only the beginning. We’re bringing the same “back up to A-Note, restore anytime” mechanism to the apps in our 5 Series. As the first step, the link with the piano chord book P-Chord is now complete — making A-Note the shared home for all your A-Soft data, and introducing A-Note to more people along the way.

P-Chord and A-Note move data in and out of each other, too.
